The primary purpose of a library is to make knowledge, education, and information accessible to all. It organizes and provides books, digital resources, and other materials tailored to the needs of readers, as well as to promote education and preserve culture.

• Digital Library Services :- Manages e-books, online journals, institutional repositories, and digital archives. Supports remote access to resources.
• Reading and Learning Support :- Provides quiet study spaces, reading rooms, and learning assistance. Conducts orientation programs, workshops, and literacy activities.
• Preservation and Maintenance :- Protects books and archives from damage. Repairs and preserves rare or important materials.
• Common Sections in a Library Department :- Acquisition Section, Cataloging Section, Circulation Section, Reference Section, Digital Library/IT Section, Periodicals Section, Archives and Special Collections.

The library ensure availability of internet and e-journal-publication for the student & staff.

• DELNET :- Library is a member of Developing Library Network (DELNET), which provides services like browsing of Union Catalogues, Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery Services. Interested readers can access the catalogues of other libraries through DELNET and request the required books/documents to be procured from these libraries on loan for a limited period.
• NDL :- Library is a member of National Digital Library (NDL), which is a virtual repository of learning resources with a single window search facility filtered and federated searching so that learners can find out the right resource with least effort and in minimum time.
• SWAYAM :- SWAYAM is a virtual repository of learning resources in which library is also one of the members where a single window search facility filtered and federated searching helps learners find resources with least effort and in minimum time.
• RTMNU Membership :- RTMNU (Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University) library members, including affiliated colleges, can access e-resources through the Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC). The KRC provides access to various e-resources like e-journals and e-books.
• NPTEL :- National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning provides a vast library of free online video courses focused on engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences. These courses are developed by IITs and IISc with options for certification exams and downloadable course materials.
• J-Gate :- J-Gate is an electronic gateway and database that provides access to global e-journal literature. It indexes articles from a large number of e-journals with links to full-text content at publisher sites.
• SWAYAM PRABHA :- Swayam Prabha hosts new educational content daily for at least four hours and repeats it multiple times for student convenience. The channels are uplinked from BISAG, Gandhinagar and the contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU, NCERT and NIOS.
